Sent another email today, asking for a delivery estimate. Got back a "order status is now delivered" response, so we'll see.

Failing that, Klaus Pickert very promptly replied to say they have the 168Gr .30 cal bullets in stock, ready to go, so much longer and I'll reverse the paypal and go with them instead.

1000 Nosler 155Grs were waiting for me when I got home tonight. Typically I'd filed a paypal claim earlier today; closed that and grovelled to Karl!

Turns out it was a problem with the post office here in the UK, the address had been badly formatted somewhere along the way and they struggled to find it- probably worth dropping him an email saying "write the address like this on the parcel". In fairness, I could have messed up with the checkout process.

My 140gr Custom Competitions turned up on Monday, almost 4 weeks after ordering, no emails or tracking info, in fact nothing at all from Waffenweltschubert so won't be using them again.

The other Noslers and the 260Rem cases I ordered from other sellers on eGun both turned up in around 4 working days from Luxemburg and Germany so I now have 3 suppliers (inc. Klaus Pickert) I can use with confidence :)

How much did Alpinhunting charge for shipping the 1000 Noslers?

10 Euros.

All in it worked out at 17.7p/bullet, AKA half the price of locally sourced SMKs.

Would use again. Unfortunately Klaus do not list 155Gr, but they do have the 168Gr in stock..

That's a good price, most of the eGun sellers charge €20-25 for 1000 bullets. I may give him a try for more 140gr for the .260 :)

We have used Stopper.de a few times with good results. My last order was with me in under a week. The order needed to be split due to stock challenges, but the charge didn't increase for delivery.

Personally I would rather pay my money to a English gun dealer. If that costs a little bit more then so be it. Iv tried buying stuff from abroad and its fine if you are prepared to wait months for it to arrive and some times it does not arrive at all.

yeah, those Scots are right untrustworthy!

anyway, things still go missing from national post, its not just restricted to imports you know.

I prefer to support UK gun dealers even if it costs me a bit more.

It's a global economy, I've spent many thousands of pounds with UK firearms dealers and will continue to do so, BUT, when a UK importer tells me it costs twice as much to import bullets from the US into the UK as it does to any other European country I tend to think someone is telling porkies.

When it comes to some items we're not talking about paying "a little bit more" (which I have done and still do) we're talking paying over double the EU market price, one dealer, when asked, was suddenly able to offer a 30% discount after telling me they made almost nothing on bullet sales, does that sound right?.

The sellers I use in Germany and Luxemburg are excellent, deliveries are within 4-5 working days, I've only had one delay of around 4 weeks from a seller I won't use again. I've had worse service here in the UK, a set of dies required urgently took over 2 weeks to be despatched despite being told over and over again that they had been, an order to another UK large dealers for an in-stock item had to be cancelled when after 10 days they eventually admitted they didn't have the item in the first place.
