I'd say LanTac or a Spikes. I'm still in love with the old style Spikes Billet. Sorry about the size of the image.

Billet upper and lower for £1560-
Hi, forgive my ignorance but is that just for the upper and lower?
Thanks Phil
That's the whole rifle for £1560.

bottom right group was at 200yds with some wind.
Vertical disposition looks a lot, horizontal spread as expected if it was blowing across the bullet flight path; is this group with Milsurp or handloads?

Hi Phill,

As you're a member of Worcester Norton there's lots of people with AR15's at the club. I've got a Lantac TCR (billet upper & lower), there's loads of SGC's, a couple of Spikes and a couple of guys that do CSR shoot in the mini rifle & 2 gun comps that have Bradley Arms. Ask around and see if you can handle / try some of them to see what you prefer.

I have a Tactical Solutions AR 22 which is forged and have to say I much prefer the overall feel of the billet.

Dave

Ive got a Cmmg .22 as well and the Lantac upper and lower interchange perfectly with the Cmmg. Dead handy as I've got a good semi auto trigger on the Cmmg for speed shooting and CSR and a 2lb trigger on the Lantac for bench rest so I can swap them over to suit the job. whereas I couldn't get my Lantac lower or Cmmg lower on a sgc speedmaster the other day...

John, that was handloads I was trying out, with a different cheaper bullet, the vertical stringing, does that mean I need another ladder test I guess? I've got my 78gn load sorted and it's lovely, .3" in a 100yd tunnel with no wind off bags and a proper shooter behind it and even I managed .45" ten shot groups. Over the course of the ladder from min to do not exceed in terms of powder the groups varied from .3 to 1.8"! Is vertical stringing the powder load that's at fault?

Hello Dave,
Gareth is going down to SGC and he was going to give me a lift. I think Simon has a Spikes he said I could try . But the Lantac looks very nice !! I have spoken to Mark Bradley but I want a billet lower.
They all have pros and con's but Lantac have much less con's! ;-)

Hello Dave,
I have tried to message you but I have not made enough posts to be able to message yet.
Can you send me your email address please and I can contact you that way.
It looks like a Lantac I will be going for, as their customer services are good and their rifles look great too.
I just can't decide on the specs!! Mainly the barrel and trigger?
Thanks Phil
