You haven't forgotten that already have you or is it only bad taste jokes??
Charlie, as Ordnance there says "sometimes if you have nothing useful to say you are better saying nothing comes to mind."

I of course refer to the eejits who think along the lines of people being killed is somehow funny. I'm all for freedom of speech mate, I'm also all for using a wee bit of common sense when needs be.

Well done Firearms UK! Anyone know if any of the other "National" bodies made any effort?

Paris was a clear example of why concealed carry should be allowed for responsible citizens. Plenty of videos of people watching and recording, none of anyone trying to either help or save themselves. It might have been a different outcome if some in the CH office had concealed carry but then again & somewhat ironically, the liberal media wouldn't tolerate that.
Sadly it appears that one victim in the supermarket did try to act according to Sky news and he was shot dead for his efforts. If someone had been carrying a firearm then more lives may have been saved but then again that person may not have been capable of using said firearm.
So it's better to not give anyone that chance because one took it and didn't survive? I dunno about you but I'd rather be fighting for my life than pleading for it...
I am all for everyone having that chance but realistically when is concealed carry ever going to be adopted for such scenarios, never in my opinion. If history has taught us anything it's that these atrocities only work to fuel the restrictions on law abiding firearms owners and persecute those who have no intention of carrying out such despicable acts.

How do you have "a tougher restriction on ammunition" that is already illegal?

Its the same as saying there must be more restrictions on murder.

I expect this lining up a further attack on the sale and holding of reloading components.

Merkel and her coven are already trying to limit the movement of guns and ammunition through Europe, maybe she's just gotten the bodies she needs to stand on to justify her case

With no border/passport control for the whole of the Schengen Area. I'm not quite sure what their aim is, as any one law in one country would be easily superceded by passing into the next country through no border control and getting what they need and coming back.

The only thing we have by way of extra security of this, is a big fuggin' moat around our island. And even that isn't very effectual if criminals can get hold of a boat.... Imagine that.

Not making jokes about people being killed am I? Just suggesting that the laws used for bad jokes and offensive remarks are applied to that politician - though some would have figured that out, pity somebody decided I was making fun of dead folk in France, ho hum.

[quote]Sadly it appears that one victim in the supermarket did try to act according to Sky news and he was shot dead for his efforts. That is the whole point of TRAINING. Assuming they are trained, and the average person CAN be trained to a high level, then better to have and not need etc.

The fact this person died trying is admirable - although some French media panned him for it. People should have a choice and not be denied because one person wants to stay unarmed and defenceless.

Chuck, I am in no way suggesting "the LAW ABIDING" are in some way to blame. What I am saying is there are times when it's better to just keep your mouth shut or your fingers off a keyboard. Like I said I am referring to the eejits who think people being killed is some how joke worthy.

TJC and Chuck lets just say for a moment that concealed carry was permitted in France, and lets say half the people in the morning meeting were concealed carry cleared and had their pistols on them. Do you think that in that morning meeting when two men burst in with total surprise armed with self loading rifles the fact they are also armed is going to make one iota of difference to the outcome?

In the end I am extremely weary of talking about the American 2nd amendment as it places that country in a completely different world but when it comes to guns but in Europe there is virtually zero public or political desire to allow the public to carry guns for self defence. Arguing for it only makes our very small community look dangerous in the eyes of the public and comments like yours could only be exploited by those who wish to restrict our sport even further. Dynamic shooting disciplines like Practical Rifle are already at a legislative knife edge.

Why even argue for something which has zero chance of ever coming into law?
