Christ, that machining is a bit rough! Is that a groove (the lighter radial stripe halfway-ish along the chamber)? If so, its going to take a hell of a lot of honing to get the surrounding metal down to that level and cause problems in other areas. I would ask for a replacement.

I don't think it's a groove, no - just the way the light's hitting it. It is rough though, isn't it?

Is that rust in the chamber and the breech and also on the face?

If you bought that from a dealer I would take it back.

That is rougher than a rough thing and it does not look chrome plated either. Do not attempt to hone it, take it straight back to the dealer who will be able to contact the distributor and do not accept 'They are all like that sir!' either...

It's just traces of cosmoline. If anything, I overdo the CLP when it's in the cabinet.

Dealer has agreed to correct it. A quick whiz is probably all it'll take but I've bottled it!

A quick whizz wont fix that Id want a replacement.
