It's conclusive, DON'T USE pure acetone on the RCBS Uniflow powder hopper...
I put a tiny dab on the plastic at the top where the cap covers it and it went cloudy instantly. I use acetone like your grandmother uses germolene and never had a problem with it on anything... odd.

I thought my little experiment would make you laugh...
I wonder, is it the acetate in the propellant that makes the clear plastic go cloudy then? Hence why you should empty it after use.

As I said earlier, my concern was the acetone may have an adverse effect on the propellant, no one flagged this and I wasn't concerned about the state of the plastic. The mark on the plastic is about 2mm x 2mm and it isn't visible, so no harm done.

Why would you want to put the acetone in contact with the propellant?

I meant indirectly, by using it to remove the anti-rust agent RCBS put in the powder thrower.
