I've had two packages stuck there for extended periods over the past fortnight.

My MDY chassis system which had been shipped from Canada to Germany and cleared customs there, and thus was not an international parcel, sat in Coventry for five days!

Similarly a package from the Vertebrae Store in Norway (Magnetospeed V3) arrived in Coventry last Monday morning and sat there until Friday afternoon - why - goodness alone knows.

I've also noticed that "Parcelforce Express 24" means absolutely nothing, they've been taking up to ten days in recent months - surely "24" means express service, but not with ParcelForce or should it be ParcelFarce?

Good evening

All now sorted, using the contact details provided by JohnMH ( many thanks) I emailed and faxed details as suggested, within 3 hours a message on phone saying items released to ParcelForce for delivery, a hint of apology but no reason for delay.
As to why the customs helpline told me the item had been seized due to changes in import licensing, as suggested probably over enthusiasm. At least now i have contact info for any future issues.
Much as i have issues with ParcelForce, it must be said that in this case the staff at coventry went the extra mile in trying to help, despite it not being their responsibility as the parcel had not been released to them. Credit where its due.
Thanks to all who helped sort this.

Regards phil

Might that Fax number and email address be worth a sticky for future use? Glad that the OP got it all sorted out.
