Get a blob of weld splodged on and whip the files out, wouldn't take long.

Costs on deactivation vary, quality of the work can also vary considerably..
A benchmark price for deactivation and cert is £150, so unless you want to keep it as a wall hanger its not really worth doing, I would go the repair and keep route, Saddler's mate might be worth a shot as it really is a good idea to find someone familer with these rifles.

You're welcome and only too happy to help. It's just a case of knowing where to look. For lever rifles a lot of the smaller cowboy action web sites are the best places to check out.

Got it reassembled and functions perfect again.
