My examples of them, both dating from 2012, have near identical water capacity after firing in my minimum SAAMI chambered rifles, and also have near identical neck thickness. I expect and get the same MVs from them. I can't see how RWS gives 100 fps higher MVs, short of some serious load and pressure changes. In same capacity cases, it takes 2gn of Viht N140 and over 7,500 psi peak pressure change to move between 2,850 and 2,950 fps in a 30-inch barrel (QuickLOAD).
Spookilly enough when used in my old M67 with same data as my lapua loads my elevatiosn went up and the group opened up a tad with RWS brass and Federal.

I wonder of this was because I was effectively using un fireformed brass (having been FL resized etc as you would do with once fired from an unknown source)?

Just a thought

I'l fetch my coat.

PS, regarding the comment about RS40....bloody good job we know how to work safe loads up and dont take things at face value eh? ;)

Who is the appointed importer/agent for Reload Swiss®, is there a release date for the full range of powders in the UK?

Contact: commonside@compuserve.com, as that is the prime importer of TR140.

Reload Swiss powders (from memory) are stocked by Brock & Norris for those a bit further north.

We really need a good UK distributor for these Reload Swiss powders, the few powders from this line I've played with have all been good.

How do the retail Reload Swiss prices compare to the TR140, Elcho17 prices?

Having looked at a couple of websites and made a telephone inquiry the RS branding are slightly more expensive than the TR and Elcho branding but they are still by far the most competitively priced powders that are available here. They are all sub £60 a kilo. I will still get my TR140 from the original importer as that is the easiest and cheapest way to it.

Thank you for that.

If one is at Bisley then it makes absolute sense to get your supply from there.

However there are many shooters who would like to use the powder but as distribution is so poor not having a distributor then many suppliers cannot stock it.

Go to the web link that I posted earlier, that is where I get mine from or I just knock on his door as he lives on Bisley.

Off thread a bit, I could really do with a good low down on powder production, characteristics etc.

Anyone know any good articles etc?
