42.5 gn of TR140 and a Sierra MK 168 grain projectile on the business end. PPU brass. COAL to match my rifle (yours will differ).
Nails the target good out to 600 and beyond. Easy on the shoulder into the bargain.

Thanks Mezzer for that useful info. :goodjob: Unlike the grumpy old man. hee hee. Oh and thank you, dodgyrog for all your help in securing for me, the addenda needed to make the K31 speak loudly. clapclap :shakeshout:

Hopefully, if all goes well. I will be at Siberia to show dodgyrog how a proper rifle works. Will take the K31 and the 1889. Jacketed in one and lead in the other.

Haven't got much time to prepare a round tho'. sign01 sign01

Well, I've taken the plunge and bought myself a K31 today - it's in the hands of PC Plod how long it is before I get it home, but the variation goes in on Monday.

I've picked up a very tidy 1950-production rifle at a very good price. I've wanted a K31 for many years - I'm chuffed to bits.

What brass are people using for hand loading - there doesn't seem to be much choice other than PPU - Norma and RWS are difficult to find, and the recent boxer-primed RUAG brass is all but unobtainable.

PPU has worked fine for me.
