I've got one running Xbox media centre, hooked up to the projector for HD and 3D films and t.v.and a second for messing about with. Had it setup for monitoring my 360 power lights a while ago, it could power on the 360 so I could ftp games to it when I'm away.

I don't read my own signature!

Oh dear... It's taking a while to build. The poor CPU on the Pi looks so stressed right now.

This is the one time that I think Windows has the edge over the smaller SOC linux systems, installing is a load easier. Still, it's all a learnign experience.

You could try using a cross compiler to speed it up. See http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/qu ... s-on-my-pc

Sadly, it's started now and I don't want to touch it in case it breaks. 21% now...

24% now. Looks like this is going to be an overnighter.

Compile failed at 41% due to lack of space. I need to get a 16Gb SD card for the Pi before I repeat that. As an interim measure, I'll try and get the library on my Mac and see what it does.

Well, f*** you macports! After a nightmare time trying to upgrade the ports list, I finally got a slight more positive response for installign OpenCV by ports. Then it failed. Again.

I'm now about to ask a friend that knows Mac better than me to have a go at this.
