"nice Travelodge" = oxymoron.

That is on the NSRA land and has had planning permission for at least 10 years - there is no Travelodge or other hotel or any sign of building work.

Odd that as when I worked at the NSRA it was going to be open by this Easter

They should get rid of them all and build a nice Travelodge
The NSRA and DeVere hotels are in the process of just that ie building a hotel near the Lord Roberts Centre. You can be sure that the rooms won't be cheap, though.

Delayed by squatters and protracted legal matters around that issue.

So unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future then Roger?

Wonder where they'll get the money from though as I was made redundant by them last November due to lack of money.

I honestly can't see it happening as it has just dragged on for so long now since way before any legal issues and I don't see a big enough market for it from shooters. The planning permission says "The accommodation hereby approved shall be used only in conjunction with the shooting activities at Bisley Camp and shall not be used continuously or as permanent accommodation."

Have a look at http://www2.guildford.gov.uk/publicaccess/ and type in Bisley. Its the one marked Land off Kings Way, Bisley Camp, Brookwood, Woking, GU24.

You could see some ground works by the end of the year.
I do wonder at the quality of management who are running the project - best I can say is a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs!

Sorry Karen, but that sounds like sour grapes!

Hahaha - no way is it sour grapes. I could not get out of the place fast enough! It was a horrible job and I hated it.

Most of the rest of the staff were lovely and it was nothing to do with them - it was just the job itself. Just completely the wrong job for me.
