+1 Thorney although I do get a bit too involved at times. But only because I really give a crap about practical shooting...

This isn't journalism, this is a bloke on a forum asking a question :roll:techguy wrote:Nice 'journalism' Gaz. Try getting the whole story before posting inflammatory posts on other forums.
You're right, my post made little sense! I was the wrong side of one or two alcoholic beverages! Oops!Gaz wrote:This isn't journalism, this is a bloke on a forum asking a question :roll:techguy wrote:Nice 'journalism' Gaz. I saw the pic and wanted to find out what the story is behind it. Banning people from a forum for mentioning a dealer by name seems out of order to me. Perhaps someone on here knows more, or maybe it's all balls. Do you know?
Primer, thanks for the history rundown. Sounds like the origins of a mafia-style feud!
I would like to correct you, at the top of this forum is says independent. That word is there for a reason. No money is paid to me for running this forum and as I do not dictate what people can post I would like to think that this forum truly is independent.Thorney wrote:Its classic forum crap anyway, every forum in the world has this issue, where the founders spend their own time to create and run it, companies come along and use it for sales, those that contribute are usually welcome and those that abuse it generally are not - same applies to every forum under the sun. Then of course add it the idea that some people on forums are in effect paid to post about stuff they've bought and it gets muddier but the concept is the same. If midway have a sign up saying 'don't deal with 4i' then frankly I'd be a bit p*** off if I owned the site and some people promoted them. (I'm saying 'if' I have no idea if they do).
Of course you also have the fact that the NRA have applied to be ipsc rep for uk thus challenging UKPSA, 4i are in support of that process so between now and the ipsc decision all we are going to see if the two groups trying to score points off each other so frankly I'd get used to it for the moment.
Nope, I did not think you were, not in the least bit. However you did say...Thorney wrote:I'm sorry, I wasn't referring to this forum, I was referring to 4islands and the UKPSA fora and the respective arguments on commercial/non commercial posts. I apologise if you thought I was being critical of thus forum, I don't think I was?
I just wanted to make it crystal clear...independent.every forum in the world has this issue
