Sorry I don't get yeah are you saying it has to be made before 1890 to be a original Winchester. My rifle is a Winchester trapper AE. It is a original Winchester its not a Marlin or Rossi or a Henry its a Winchester. Its worth as much to me as any Winchester no matter when it was manufactured. It would be just as upsetting putting a scope on a 1890,s Winchester as my trapper in my book.You tell me...did they have the AE version back then? Is your's an original 1890's piece? (I don't know all the history, I just shoot them)
