I'm amazed at the amount you lot must drag around with you. Simple solution - Northern Ireland patrol pack. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't go and it can also be used as a rest when shooting prone.

An NI patrol pack? Crikey, I do have one but I doubt I could fill it with shooting gear even if I crammed it full of the spare cans and bipods we have.
If it does not fit in your pockets or slip leave it in the car is what I say!

I do have a Mil-tec 50l MOLLE patrol pack. I currently use it for uni to carry my laptop along with 10 or so books/files, may try it as a range bag when I next go

My bag arrived today and I have to say I'm impressed, it's perfect except one thing... it's too bloody big
I didn't realise how big the pockets were and once I'd filled those, the bag was only half full. You have 2 plastic squares that keep the ends rigid, one for the base and one for the back as well. It keeps it's shape and there are loads of compartments, I'm really pleased, I just need to swap it from 50 x 30 x 30cm to the compact version @ 44 x 22 x 30cm and we're good to go.
This is the smaller one.

If you are still looking for a bag there is a Dutch guy who visits the Phoenix Meeting. His site is 'bold-action.com' I think. Then check 'gear & range bags'.
You can 'see before you buy' at the meeting in May. I've had several for pistol and rifle stuff and good value.
Hope this helps?

Thanks for the info John. He seems to have some nice bags on his website, although I'm going to stick with the smaller version of the one I ordered, I'm really pleased with it.
Cheers anyway!

Had the 5.11 range bag and holdall for about 7 years now, taken them all over the planet and used them to carry just about everything. They're as good as new, even after being consigned as "hold" luggage with various airlines.
Just watch how much you put in as they can get seriously heavy.

Thanks Chuck, will do. It looks like the Tactical Jack and the 5.11 bags have a similar, if not identical build quality. You can tell the bag was made to last. Hopefully the smaller compact version will be here for the weekend.
