From what I gather, that's illegal isn't it? So the answer to someone committing a crime is to tighten up on the law abiding..... Yeah, that works everytime....

But can't you get a state driving license even if you're not a US citizen?

Mike YES, you can....it will be limited to the term of your VISA, anything from 90 days onwards..

e.g If you are under the ESTA programme (Visa waiver) you have a 90 day stay limit, a licence will be issued - AFTER you pass your test - but it will expire 90 days from when you arrived. You renew it when you come back again..daft I agree but that's how it works. I would assume the same works for longer term visas when you have a six month limit on any one trip. Can't be permanent if you are not resident legally.

In most states you still need to be a US citizen or have some form of legal abode there to buy a gun.- I think.

Others on here will know their state rules better obviously.

BTW, the AW ban is not doomed, it i still alive albeit they have droppe dit or now. The plan is to get it in as an ammendment after other measures have been accepted.

Yes hopefully it WILL fail but you cannot trust the politicians even some pro-gun ones have turned traitor.

Anyone with a Resident Alien Card/Permanent Resident Card can buy a firearm.
That is in the federal firearms act. No need to be a citizen at all.
Which brings the question of If you want to live here all the time, why do you not want to be a citizen?

As for driving?
They issue driving licsenses and social security cards to illegals every day in most states. wtfwtf sign01 ****

Yes the ban was shot down, all the politicos knew it would be, they just made big news of no bans to put the people off guard while they get sneaky and attempt to pull dirty tricks. It is the other things they want to that is scary, regiesteration, ammo registeration ammo purchase limits. testing and classes just to buy ammo.
Oh they dont need to ban the gun just make them impossible to use.

I do not trust my government one bit. Nobody should.

Burner, may be the fact that doing it legally takes forever and costs a fortune and no guarantee of success whereas just sneaking in from south of the border seems to pay dividends..except in Maricopa County with Sheriff Joe Arpaio around.

Update from NRAILA..
