That's a really nice looking rifle, but isn't that the same sort of gun that is getting all the bad press in the US at the moment. I'd be worried about buying something like that with all the negativity going around.

Why?

It is a legal firearm in this country.

Because of this country's governments history of knee jerk reactions to events which result in ridiculous new laws designed to appease the sheeple.

If we let that intimidate us then we'd be shooting nothing.

That is how the anti gun lobby would wish us to think and behave.

I take your point, I just wouldn't personally want to spend that sort of money on something that might be banned, especially just for plinking at 100 yards.

You don't own any guns, then.....?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Are they all either painted bright pink or disguised as brass instruments?

The antis don't want any guns. Period. By staying away from AR15s and the like do you think that what you shoot will be safe forever?

If the antis manage to ban AR15s, do you think they will stop there? That they will say "phew, that's the evil guns gone then, let's disband"? Of course they won't.

Good point, I hear what you are saying. Sarcasm was a bit OTT though.

My view is the straight pulls we have over here will not be specifically targeted.
