Guys,

Diggle Club is celebrating its 150 anniversary this year.

We are looking to do something spectacular - in shooting terms to mark the occasion and Forum members could come and take part.

Here's the plan.

Every May Bank Holiday, we have our famous Egg Shoot - break an egg at 500 yards with one shot and win £100.

This year, May 30th we want to make it a bit different - the target is still a hen's egg but the prize money will be £1000!!!

Only snag - we are moving the egg back to 1000 yards!

So - 1000 yards, 1 shot, 1 egg, 1 thousand pounds! it will be the biggest get-together of accurate rifles ever.

Sunday will be an all-day practise to get you sighted in.

Will will have a commemorative 'I was there' badge and the entry will be only £15 for the two days.

We will limit the entry to the first 100 shooters, so get applying - e-mail me on vinceb@6ppc.fsnet.co.uk to book your place. Spectators welcome.

The likely hood of me hitting a egg at 1000yds is zero.
You guys have a good week end.
Now if you had said there would of been two prizes of £500 breaking a egg at 500yds I may have been tempted.

Alpha,

Someone will do it - it will be a lucky shot - but they will be known as the one who broke the egg at 1000 yards and won £1000!

At 500 yards (which we do every year) the most eggs broken is 3, sometimes none are hit.

Ovenpaa - the Egg Shoot is always on Bank Holiday Monday so it does clash with the Phoenix but we are offering a full day of 1000 yard shooting the day before.
