Been watching this bonkers thread while out in the USA shooting pistols, full auto M16s and Barrett .50 Cals.

Fun isn't it! You shouldn't really do that to yourself though, the reality of going back must be somehow damaging.

No not really lots of good but different shooting to be had over here.

And exactly what's going to get most new shooters into the sport, not competitions (unless you happen to know you're an amazing shot brute you even try).

Spent the day on one of the ranges at Catterick. Catterick is a Garrison town it was a guest day we had some ex military vets from Afghanistan they are with the rehabilitation unit. One guy has had to learn to walk again after a serious spinal injury some of them have missing limbs unfortunately they could not manage competitive target shooting so they had to settle for plinking with Lee enfields. Swedish Mausers and doing there best to shoot my Steyr and 6.5x55.
They are keen to come again and we are glad to have them. They are welcome to plink on our range any time they want.
The guy who has learnt to walk again out shot me and my club mate with our own rifles. How bad is that
