There are a more than a few post 1945 firearms/receivers on this thread alone, so why start being selective now?

Listen, I shift what I see, no doubt I have missed some stuff in the past that is just how it is.

If you cannot be bothered to post in the correct forums, then I have better things to do than tidy up after all your miss posts, they will get shifted as and when, maybe.

You could make my life easier by posting in the correct forum in the first place, but obviously from the above posts that consideration is to much to ask of you.

When you say.......this forum is for pre 1945 action firearms.... do you define pre 1945 action firearms as actually being made before 1945, or designed before 1945 ? Apart from that being unclear, what category do the firearms made in 1945 come under ? Thanks :)

Being in production pre 1945, repros of pre 1945 actions would be eligible here.

Everything else fullbore, rimfire etc as appropriate.

So to get this right , anything first produced in 1945 can not be discussed here. Is that correct ?

Dromia, you're saying by production and Christel is saying "Within the shooting world, it is always design we are talking about." If it's by design then both the SKS and the AK fall into the pre 1945 historical category. If it's by production then the SKS only, falls into the historical category as it was designed in 1943/44 and issued in 1945.

Just to clarify, within the different shooting disciplines the rules are always based on design. As an example shooting CAS would be fairly impossible if one was not allowed a firearm manufactured later than 1899.

Feel free to highlight posts and threads that need to be moved into the correct section. We are only two admins here and frankly we rely on people to post in the correct section. That is for the sake of the forum and for the sake of the OP because if you post in the wrong section you may not get replies as not everybody read the entire forum.
