Personally I would recommend a metal buffer tube rather than a polymer one. My main reason for this is because of the immense recoil caused by the .22lr could cause a polymer one to splinter

Totally disagree, would only not recommend a polymer buffer tube if used on a .17HMR as these do recoil excessively.

John, if you read the post above you should have seen the grinning faces, basically it was a tongue in cheek posting.

If might be worth setting up an AR forum as show us your rimfires is going down that route!

Really, I thought you were serious! kukkuk

I am being serious about the .17HMR though, it’s far to powerful to use with a polymer or aluminium buffer tube, they need to be titanium. :twisted:
