I tried 50 PPU 240gr through it when I first bought it, it started to hurt my wrist towards the end... bangbang
Indeed, for factory loads they don't seem to be messing around :good:

I was advised to load my 155gr Hornady AMAX & .308 brass with VihtaVouri (v-N140) between 42-44gr, obvious start low and check for signs of over pressure. However... I thought I'd check both the Speers reloading manual 14# and also Lee Modern Reloading #2 and the Speers manual doesn't have any load data for 155gr jacketed bullets, it jumps straight from 150gr to 165gr and the Lee manual says 36.7-43.4.

Can anyone offer me a second opinion please?

OK consider it removed, however, the only problem now is I don't have `any` load data for .308 + 155gr bullets. Any ideas what the min/max range should be for my powder?

What`s wrong with Viht`s own data?

If you cant find data for 155`s just use the 150gn data.

42 to 44 grains of Vitavouri N140 I use 43.2grains of N140 with 155grain A max bullets. In my .308 Steyr.

Halodin, ignore him mate, he said the same thing about my reloading bench as well  . Just because he's a tramp of the reloading world doesn't mean we all have to be like him O:-) A clean bench is an efficient bench mate.

Halodin, I'm going out for a bit but when I get back I'll scan the page for that bullet from the latest Hornady manual and pm it to you if you like. Personally I use Noslers 150 grn ballistic tip in my .308, very accurate and kills them stone dead.

Thanks for the link and info. Using 150gr bullet loading data is quite different to the load recommended to me, so in the interest of accuracy I'd prefer exact measurements where possible. I'm surprise VihtaVouri's load data doesn't cover Hornady A-MAX 155gr.

Thanks anyway.
