Let's hope the number keeps ratcheting up... There must be millions of registered firearm owners across Europe. Anything that shows unity must help.

The only thing in our favour is the fact that they are trying to do this in all the EU member Countries. If it was just the UK they would be gone in the blink of a eye.

Why vote for a party that refuses to participate? UKIP don't have the decency to turn up and do the job they are paid for as MEPs. So, yeah, vote for them and they'll ensure the EU completely ignores your opinion.

Back on track, just mail your MEP if possible. I believe a physical letter has a greater chance of being answered.
Emails do seem to attract a copy and pasted form letter of the "Thank you for your concern. <Insert party line here>" type. It makes a sort of sense as many emails from the petitioning side are often copy and pasted from forums. Personalised, well-written hardcopy does seem to be the best thing.

About three of my MEP's have UK addresses. So I can get letters sent to three and the other three will have to be emails sadly. Which is a bummer as I wanted to get my letter seen as widely as possible.

Also sorry Dromia. Say has anyone who's written got any responses yet and I mean from a physical letter and not just hoping an email worked?
