I missed out on the pistol shooting, but from what I understand Bisley had lots of pistol ranges including melville....now used for Gallery rifle and LBR/LBP.

Though I've never been a pistol shooter (apart from 'close inspection' of other peoples) I do fully sympathise...it's not like I don't hear it at my own clubs...

As I said, being realistic, we should start with .22 and take it from there...

Also the position I am working from with Firearms UK. Our petition, now at its 2nd draft exclusively targets .22 calibre pistols for sporting; both recreation and competition based use. We do however plan to involve as much of the wider shooting community as possible to garner the greatest possible degree of support.

Anyone who doesn't support it doesn't deserve to own firearms...

so your officially on record as not wanting to ever shoot a pistol if they were to get any kind of repeal.....nice attitude, very supportive of your fellow shooters, i stand for everyones shooting, i may not like certain forms of shooting or get on with some of the folk in that discipline but i support their rights or wishes to do so.... sign85 sign92 troutslapping

Alpha1, what a dick you have just been. When they come for what ever firearms you have, you'll want some help. Why they still have guns in the USA - they stick together. We must also do that and if you don't support me on this point you clearly want no shooting at all, as that is where our road takes us.

Very well said.

I disagree with that - we're a broad church and we're never going to get everyone to actively support us. The real problem, though, is neutralising shooters who actively disagree with legalising pistols. They're our most easily conquered enemy at the moment, in my opinion.

I didn't realise they existed. What's their line of logic? As a relative newcomer, I imagined it was one for all and all for one...
