Mine are old issue's of Official Nintendo Magazine, filled with the dreams of long dead importers of stuff you couldn't get in the uk and the dreams of the dead tree press.
Whatever floats your boat!!!....... was it Marios off the shoulder overalls or Donkey Kongs hairy back that gave you a "happy ending"? :squirrel:

In my experience of the trade, very few dealers deactivate note worthy rifles, they are generally unfit for shooting. There are always exceptions of course, all those lovely LB No4's chopped by WWA for one.

A collapse in the deac market could potentially be very bad for us shooters though, fewer people to import ex service rifles for one, the demand for live rifles is tiny compared to the demand for deacs ... Well it was before this! It just won't be worth bothering for some dealers as live sales were only a side line.

A very eloquent presentation by Dr Impey from the Royal Armouries about the ridiculousness regarding deactivated firearms. Shame he was let down by the presentation system, when he tried to show pictures to go along with his talk. As perhaps expected, even the computer system in meeting didn't want to listen to a well thought through speech about how the amendment needs significant rewriting to make sense.

I got the impression that Vicky Ford is not impressed and even the Tory MEP's are struggling to get behind it. Did anyone else get that from there?

Interesting to see that the Belgium proof master was in effect proffering the idea of a collectors license.

So in other words even more pressure on already overworked Police Firearms departments and no guarantee that all deac owners will register.

Also well done for the Tory MEP knocking the whole idea of controlling firearms via magazines as virtually unworkable and not a practical way to actually enhance safety. She did talk about controlling sale to those who can buy firearms/shotguns which is also unworkable IMHO but at least she is open to education on the matter.

Magazines by their very nature and especially military hi-cap examples are meant to be cheap and disposable. They are barring an odd exception unrestricted across the EU and nobody knows how many are out there. Yet again putting restrictions on them may well have the reverse reaction to what they intended. If you have a stack of cheap AR15 magazines and don't want to go through the bother of registering them like a moderator how many out there would just dump them in the bin.

At the end now and that Prat from the EU commission is prattling on again about category B7, he has a real hang up about Kalashnikov's and AR15 due to their military origin.

Pleased the Tory MEP grilled him over how many are out there legally and what compensation was required...which he then proceed to dodge. He then didn't actually answer the following question by the guy in a school tie about theif they have any statistical link between legally held semi auto and crimes with a glib comment about the recent Norway massacre, Paris (not legally held), Dunblane and some undefined events elsewhere. So very rare incidents by madmen and criminals/terrorists totally down to Police failings to administer the current legislation and lax rules elsewhere.... wtf Nice way to dodge the multiply requested statistics!
