The 13,1 mils of elevation comfortably gets me to 1000 yards on a cold day and 1200 yards on a warm day with the 7,62x51
Choice of bullet for me with the 7,62x51 AI is the Lapua 170 Lockbase with N540 behind it.
Thanks for the advice, the 4-16 is probably too little magnification if I want to shoot the F T/R at Diggle.

Don't go for the FFP for range work - we know the range we're shooting at - we don't need a range-finding ret. and we don't need a big thick ret. at 1000 yards!
The next F Class shoot at Diggle on the 23/24th May is a GBFCA League shoot at 800 to 1000 yards - why not come along and look what the UK's top F Class competition shooters are using.

I have shot the F T/R at 300 and 500 at Diggle and watched the 1000m benchrest. The brenchrest seemed to use anything from 25x to 60x.
What do you use for McQueens and what will go on your new rifle?

On my McQueen gun, I'll be using a Leupold Mk4 8.5-25 power. For the McQueen we use about 12X at 200 and 18X at 300 - to cover the whole wall. But, I'll also use it for tactical type shoots out to 600yds.

If you are going to use the AT for F/TR keep an eye on the weight, you only have 8.25kgs to play with and that includes the rifle, scope and bipod. The rifle is 6.3kgs, a reasonable bipod around 0.6kgs and the 5-25 PMII weighs 1.1kg so you only have a couple of hundred grams or so for the scope rings.
