Yes "they" I assume (although I could be wrong) Mr Mercer doesn't call the shots all on his own or without consultation with the Chairman and the rest of the directorship or whatever they are called. By that I mean the ones who discuss things and then vote on it.

One would hope so but as it was reported as a conversation I would doubt that it was discussed by the Trustees at that point.
Might have been discussed later leading to a change of opinion?
Just my thoughts as I don't know but someone might like to ask that question . . .

Karen,
Just my thoughts as I don't know but someone might like to ask that question . . .
Are you still a member of the NRA, if so why don't you ask it?

Someone once told me "Never ask a question you don't know the answer to"
This has proved to be very good advice

As much as I have supported the NRA recently, this is, should it be true,a step backwards and will affect my decision re future renewal.

Can I suggest that those members here that are against this campaign, are seen as our first potential convertees? They are the first hurdle.

How about some one takes a tablet or laptop to the club house and get them all to sit down and create a email account for them and get them to sign the petition?
As for Alpha1 he was quick to want every ones help when his full bore shooting range days were threatened by the MOD but to me it seem when it's some one Else's problem he is not interested.
I signed the petition on day one. My full bore range problem is not solved am I complaining. As for blaming old folks like for me adding to the problem for not being computer literate. I am 63 years old have a face book account. A twitter account. Am a active member of Linkdin have a Skype account.
I build 3d Graphic programs for fun I work with Blender. UDK. I work in a high Tec environment. The people I deal with every day are educated to at least PHD level. I work with some of the best Universities PHD students in the UK. To suggest that the older generation and there lack of IT skills is to blame for this petition failing is a insult.

I resent that mate (no biggie though) - You want to talk about 'apathy'...what about the Trafalgar meeting? - The attendance is getting so low that the meetings future isn't looking great - Now I don't know how many classic rifle owners live within driving range of Bisley, but it would take less than 100 more competitors to secure the events future...
...and that's a guaranteed result that could be achieved this year...

And can I suggest you learn to read properly...as no one has said they are against the campaign.
