I have thought about this as the AKSU is probably my favourite rifle...you would have to re-model the front end of an AK102 (5.56) and stick a fake PBS4 moderator over the barrel. But I reckon it could be done given the willpower (and the money).

Although not a milsurp, or a actual firearm (but still interesting)
this is my new custom built Replica vickers machine gun.
This "scale model" has been fitted with a propane/oxygen gas system to simulate the sound of firing.
This is me at a local history fair a few weeks ago where i was representing my local regiment's role in the great war. I took along my Great war collection for use in a firing display.
The rifles in the background of the picture are:
1901 LSA magazine lee enfield
1916 LSA SMLE MkIII
1966 Ishapore 2A1 (pretending to be a MkIII*)
Remington P14
1915 Amberg G98

Now that looks interesting, do you have any footage of the 'Vickers' in action?

Well deserved .... Planning to finish with a little AKSU 5.45x39 next ??

It would be nice but lack of barrel length and 5.45 ammo would be a problem

, a full length SVD would compliment the SVDS nicely though as would an SVU

Today at Bisley roaming at AmmoZone stand on Phoenix Arm Fair,I come across bag of 20 5.45x39 for 6£...

The thread is a year old, but worth adding to and another peice to my WW1 collection. This one is my French Lebel 1886/M93.
This one hasnt got the balle N conversion which is nice, so can use .323 bullets.
Look forward to shooting this one.

A rare & highly desirable , in France at least, beast.
Congrats

Essentially a Mk. III action (1910) with Mk. III* furniture. Have not had a chance to study all of the marks as yet. I fitted the magazine cut off for no other reason than I wanted to!
