Wow! tongueout

That must be very satisfying - taking a 'scrapper', sorting it out, making it your own with the stock and cheek piece...and turning it into a serious piece of kit :goodjob:

I haven't seen many No.4s group that well at 200 yards - over here, if you put a period scope on...it would make it a lovely classic McQueens rifle...

Dougan, yeah it is kinda satisfying, like I said though it was done when I was on the mend from a broken leg and it kept me from going nuts. As for putting on a period scope, well for me that would be like trying to turn it into something it isn't. Once the loads for it are fine tuned I will be putting the peep sight back on.

A rare find indeed....... An Enfield that shoots!!!

(pe4king will be along to roast me soon.....!)
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Once the aperture sight is back on it maybe then it'd also benefit from a repro No.32 bracket & a Weaver K4 ?

Saddler, like I said earlier I only scoped it to see how it would group/shoot. I'm going to do some fine tuning on loads for it and shoot it un-scoped. Saying that I do rather fancy/contemplating putting a PH foresight on it. There are plenty of them over here and at pretty reasonable prices as well.
