Meindl Burma Pro GTX for me. Used and abused them for about 8 years now and still as good as the day they came out of the box (well nearly as good!) So comfortable and supportive.

I had some Altbergs as bike boots, very comfy, but rather lacking in protection compared to a 'proper' bike boot like a Sidi Crossfire.

But for general daily use I favour DeWalt Challenger II work boots, cheap Goretex, bit heavy with steel toe caps and insole, but comfortable in all weathers. Soles are bit soft though, I'm on my fourth pair, the soles, which are not replaceable, last me a couple of year of every day use. But I'm rather heavy and walk on the outside of my feet.
Careful now/that sort of thing
