20S has been known to build an accurate round or two in the past and I am sure he will be able to point you in the right direction tongueout

Nice looking rifle that. How does it shoot?

Let us know how it shoots, I have an Ishapore one with a barrel like a rusty gas pipe.

600x on the ladder, took it to 900x a few years ago, cranked on a handfull, hung the (Sterling) bayoney on the front because someone had told me it stabilises it, and finished my ten shots (all on the target) with three 'V' bulls.

Enjoy!

:good:

I really liked my No5. Great fun too shoot and I didn't notice any more recoil over a std No4 or indeed poor accuracy. In fact, I thought, without any tinkering, the No5 was more accurate than the No4.
Nice and compact.

Nice rifle mate,

Welcome to the Enfield brigade, nice to see someone starting with a No5, a fine rifle and on my long term shopping list.

I have also shot them in the past and would concur, the accuracy and recoil are no worse or better than most No4's.

Always gives me a good laugh at the range when someone more used to .223 has a go on my SMLE, I love the look of shock on there faces when they pull the trigger

Try firing the cut down alpine Mauser 98.....now thats recoil!!!

Cheers, John.
