NOT that I want to be the one to suggest such a motive - but as a B&B owner, surely the close proximity of a rifle range (bearing in mind that the woman that sold the current owner the property advised her that "bullets" hit the house from time to time) may not in her view be good for business due to the "noise pollution" or some such similar "reason"
More than likely the projectile will have been a ricochet - as in - all energy knocked out of it & purely on a random path through the air until it comes to rest (check the tests that Mythbusters did about such projectiles)
Mountain out of a mole hill = get the meeja involved = pressure on the range to restrict opening hours or close completely = job done for the new incomer & some nice free publicity she can dine out on/bump her prices up as a nice bonus
NOT being cynical - I have seen A LOT of such small ranges gradually close or have severe restrictions placed on them by new neighbours - both in industrial areas and rural ones - to know that such things do go on: more so than you'd be happy to know about...

That's what makes this seem strange to me, the B&B and St Austells RPC (as shown in the report) are about 3 miles away!
This week saw a St Austell Resident have a near miss from a bullet fired from a rifle club close to her home. Shane Solomon talks in this video to Jo McCutcheon from Woodpeckers B & B.
Google the address.

WHERE ARE WE?
Krafty Kids is held at the St Austell Rifle & Pistol Club, Trevarthian Road, St Austell, PL25 4BH. It is the pink building opposite Poltair School, next to the football club.
It doesn't make sense - as murphwiz pointed out St Austells RPC looks like an indoor club/range!

Maybe someone in St Austell club needs to be talking to that site, as they appear to be blaming them for this alleged incident?

if you search google maps for the coordinates 50.359121,-4.752713
it does look like there may be a range just south of the B&B, but there is nothing visible as an entrance on streetview

I see they have changed one of the two Gun Bullett typos, god help us all if they cannot even spell bullet, interesting that they know of bullets other than from guns..

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=50.360 ... 16&iwloc=A
shows a private property sign, and as harrier has said, on the maps there does appear to be a clearing in the woods that could be a rifle range, looks a nice part of the world, I wonder if they allow guests, and I hear theres a close by B&B that we might get a good group discount on?

Amusing to see they are correctly calling it a bullet rather than a head that seems to be creeping in more and more by people who should know better.

Yes, but surely it was just the head she found...and not the whole bullet...
