Hello Hauptman, Have also heard that however with the 1 in 11 twist barrel with the LRS2 i have found 185g weight bullets e.g 185 lapua scenar-Berger Vld etc yield better accuracy at 800-1k with less wind drift, shot a 47 out of a possible 50 with 185g berger vld with n540 at 800y with gusty wind conditions over weekend.Hauptman wrote:I'm told that the 308 Blaser fluted match barrel is tailor-made to suit the 168 grain Sierra Matchkings.

Nice shooting !!
My best is 49.7/51 at 600yds on a calm day. I used SMK 2155's with 2.80 gms of N140 behind it...........a slow 2520 fps +- 20 fps.
I'm working on a 1000yd load, but sticking with 2155's and trying TR140.
Mine's a LRS1, solid ally with a 10 round mag.

Nice shooting Hauptman, Are you shooting 300 win mag with the 2155 mk, I heard of a FTr shooter who managed to get a 30in heavy profile 1 in 10 twist barrel made i think from boarder barrels uk for his Blaser LRS2, was thinking of going same route for FTR comp shooting.Hauptman wrote:Nice shooting !!![]()

Nope, it just has a std. 308 fluted match barrel, two-stage match trigger, and was shot with a Mil-Sak bipod, a Falcon 4-14x44 FFP scope at 10x and my left hand under the butt.
It's an incredibly good rifle, and there was zero wind..............
I'm really interested to know if people like Border will make barrels for these. The Blaser's at 1350 quid may be a bit over the top pricewise, but they are good. However, the thought of a 30" fluted Border in 6.5 x 55 makes my mouth water...............

Re: Reloading data for Blaser Lrs2
I heard of one FTR shooter at my club who managed to get boarder barrels to make a 30in tube for his LRS2, The shooter shot at bisley and midland club in Ireland as supposed to had done well, will have to try and find out more, What twist has your LRS1 308 barrel and have you tried the berger 185g vld-hybrid bullets, Do you obtain best results by seating with jump or jam.Hauptman wrote:Nope, it just has a std. 308 fluted match barrel, two-stage match trigger, and was shot with a Mil-Sak bipod, a Falcon 4-14x44 FFP scope at 10x and my left hand under the butt.

Re: Reloading data for Blaser Lrs2
It's a 1/11 twist, and I load SMK 2155's to just fit the magazines, which equates to approx 1.0mm (40 thou) jump.
I've only used SMK 2155's so far. I'll maybe try some alternatives when I get consistent results with the 2155's.
My plan when I started reloading was simply to get as close to the NRA RUAG stuff as possible, and save some dosh.
I don't really have the time (or if I'm honest, the inclination) to get into serious load development.
I spent many years in various laboratories "experimenting" before I retired, so now I'm chilling..............and it's great!!

Re: Reloading data for Blaser Lrs2
The 208g Amax also another reasonably priced 30 cal bullet but for 800-1000y i would like to try the Berger 200g hybrid bullet with an impressive bc of 0.624, What groups were you getting with the smk at 600 and what speed were you running them.Hauptman wrote:It's a 1/11 twist, and I load SMK 2155's to just fit the magazines, which equates to approx 1.0mm (40 thou) jump.
