BTW I don't agree when they say "They do work the brass more, and will usually result in reduced case life."

I use SB dies and I've lost count of the number of firings my brass has had. They seem to be a bit like the Energizer bunny.

Err What he said O:-)

Thanks Blu.

I only learnt about small base dies when someone at the club bought an L1A1 and it would not chamber any reloaded ammo - they were advised to get a small base die - apparently more common in what used to be "Semi Autos"

Another vote for FL re-sizing in the AR.

Be interested to see if you can detect any accuracy difference between FL and NO sized brass. I'm a bit sceptical that it really is any better, but it might just be that my AR doesn't like it - yours might be different of course.

Well I have learnt something new. I doubt it will be a problem as the forward part of the chamber is slightly over size however I will experiment when I get a moment and see how it goes.

MiLisCer: Yeah I had something of a similar problem with my Bushmaster made AR. SB dies fixed the problem, as I have already said I use them all the time and it hasn't shortened the case life that I can see.

We are never too old to learn Blu, and the day we stop learning is the day we stop living.
