You end up with the same weight for the same strength but do you need all that strength!? How many aluminum AR receivers have split open? I'd rather have a lighter gun with adequate strength than a heavier gun with unnecessary strength. I mean I don't want running shoes made of steel!

If it works and people are happy with it - what difference does it make, what it is made of? :-P
I wouldn't, ever, spend that sort of money on any firearm but if someone can and wants to, then more power to them!
