Stockings are tubes that can be slipped over a rifle to protect it whilst in the cabinet, cram a few rifles into a cabinet and it is very easy to knock them as they go in and out.

You may need length as well depending on disciplines. My F Class rifle is 52" long and I believe black powder rifles are also long.
Check eBay, several safes on auction.
Beware weight, these things are not light and may need two or more to handle into place.
Tell your wife that you will be saving money - rifle storage through the NRA is not cheap.
And that you will be home quicker, as you will not have to clean your guns on the range.

This is how mine looks, it's a Brattonsound ML7 (i think) with an Argos Digisafe that I lock my ammo and primers in and slo the keys for the Rifle safe, which negates the issue of keeping keys from unauthorised persons

20 series I wouldn't contain your primers in a steel cabinet if I were you. In the event of a fire they are the one component that might explode en masse. It would be much better to treat them as you would if storing black powder. Better still not in the house (secure outbuilding ?) and not on an escape route.

Our primers are stored in a locked wooden box together with our black powder.
FEO is happy :)
