Hi Eager,
You could put a small tuperware type container on the scales before you zero them - then it won't matter if you spill a little water...
Alternatively, there is a much simpler method:
Litely strike each case with a metalic object - then batch them according to the note they make; A,B,C,D,E,F and G - some people don't have a good enough 'ear' for it, but you can use a guitar tuner....any cases with a sharp or flat note need discarding.

What amazes me about shooting and reloading is how much of the maths and physics we learnt at school we use in our hobby!
Conclusion - we are all nerds that like bangs!!
