Ah, OK. I looked at three 175gn Berger bullets when choosing for my next handload:
- Long Range BT
VLD
Tactical
They all have the same BC but the Long Range BT has the lowest Form Factor. Also the chaps at Norman Clark reckon it's a better bet for magazine fed rifles.
We shall see ...

I think OTM stands for 'Open Tip Match'.
I haven't shot beyond 600yds so far with my 308. Have a great load (for accuracy) with 168 SMK's but I guess they will be at their limit at that range. I'm only running 42 grns of RE15, which is a mild load, so velocity won't be much above 2500fps.
Wanted to try these Bergers or maybe the 178 grn Hornady's.

If you read Bryan Litz's book on Applied Ballistics it will advise you that 168gn SMKs are excellent up to 800 yards but due to their design they lose their accuracy beyond that.
I currently use 175gn SMK with 42gn Viht. This gives just under 2500fps and it works well at 1,000 yards but I want BETTER :mrgreen:
