Also Kent, I sold a rifle on the 27th of last month and put in for a one for one on the monday as yet ive heard nothing, apart from tales of delays.
Compare this to my renewal in Feb, that was done and dusted in 2 weeks from submission of forms to recieving my ticket back.
I would like it back now as I have another rifle waiting to be picked up and tried.

Like you, mine was a 1 for 1 variation, different calibre.but was told by the girl in Kent firearms dept that the FEO would have to call, and the waiting time is nearly 4 months, just what the h*ll are they playing at :x :x :x

I was told that It may have to go out for enquiry but possibly not as I was requesting a smaller calibre, that seems to be the case. I would give them a polite call to progress the variation and find out what is happening

The only thing with mine was, he said that I would need mentoring for 4 months for deer,( I'd put in for a .223 with Muntjac and CWD on it)I pointed out that I had already owned a .223 and a .243 ,and was conditioned for deer anyway, "oh, yes,so you are,no problem then".He was waffling on about DSC1 ,before I managed to stop him!!
