Christel got hers through the NRA Shooting club (membership is free) she filled a form in listing how many shoots she had attended and and got a call back saying her new 4 year SCC would be in the post very shortly, I am being a bit vague here as I was not really paying attention
I will ping her and see if she can tell you more.

Ovenpaa really was not paying attention
I am a member of the NRA and of the NRA shooting club.
I am sure it is the membership of the NRA that means that they will issue me the SCC.
All that has to be proven is 3 times attendance either at your local club or the NRA shooting club and what you have used to shoot with.
I have been shooting my .22C so I am approved for a scoped rifle on the SCC.
No form was filled in apart from the SCC form.

It is Sarah Wells that you need to get hold of, she is issuing the SCC cards.
Phone: 01483 797777 ext 162
Email:
memadmin@nra.org.uk
Or contact her through the website:
http://www.nra.org.uk/common/asp/staff/ ... 16&org=NRA
She explained to me that you can have two, one issued through the NRA and one from your local club.

There are various (alternative) criteria for NRA issued cards that are detailed on the application form:
