That's the breakpoint when Brownells require a completed DSP 83 form.

Robin is correct, Brownell's figure is at $100, but it would appear that not every company is the same. Keep in mind that the $100 refers to per regulated item, not total order value so you can have several regulated items at $100 no problem - I made the expensive mistake of thinking it was a total for the order and had a couple of orders before I caught on. Not all items are regulated so it is worth checking, most of the gear I get from Sinclair's is not regulated.

On the spur of the moment, I have ordered a fore end from Sampson Eng today https://www.samson-mfg.com/mm5/merchant.mvc? $155 + £28 p&p or £114 they are £200 here so will see what turns up, I have already had an email saying item will be dispatched tomorrow.

"Generally speaking, items which usually need a license are:

•Frames
•Receivers
•Barrels
•Barrel Liners
•Various other gun parts such as triggers, sears, ejectors, magazine tubes, scopes, and other items if the ordered amount is over $100.00 US"

In my experience with Brownells its the total value of regulated items.

"The order amount" is confusing,

My orders this year have all been between $2-300.00 and I have had no problems so far as long as no one item is over $100.

Lets keep quiet about it, they may not be following their own rules!
