In the pistol days, I used Clays in 9mm. Accurate, clean and nearly 2000 rounds a tub!

I'm using Tightgroup at the minute in .45 Colt, .32-20 and .32 Mag. Giving great results out to 50yds from an LBR and a couple of lever guns. Again, very economical, but I'm finding dirty in all three cartridges. Not sure if that would be an issue in your new "semi-semi"!

Both powders are readily available. My local shop has them on the shelf, but they are nearly 40 quid a tub each!

Our SGC 9mm hated clays very dirty which reduced the blow back action workings. Tried and tried different powders Blue dot, Unique, Bullseye, Universal Clays, & HP38, with very little sucess only use factory now, not had a problem since. I get mine from C&G..

I do have to listen to what you are saying,

Scanning the UK dealers this afternoon and putting the prices through my cost calculator shows that you are looking at around 5p or under a round cheaper for hand loaded V's Factory. I am really not sure that it is worth it. I have fired one of these on the range and the brass flies for miles, so you would end up walking around like a chicken trying to find the brass.

Will look and see where I can get a good consistent supply of Factory ammo - perhaps I can get John to accidentally order in 25000 rounds before he leaves,

Bobbob built a catch net out of a fishing landing net on a frame to catch the ejected cases, worked very well (stopped the next person having hot cases bouncing off their heads) also helped when collecting them.

If we are talking about a Unicorn then I have seen them fitted with a case catcher.

I think Blackstuff has one - I am not sure that they would be accepted on a competition range as the RO needs to get his fingers in the action etc, also in case of a stove pipe or jam I can see them being an issue.
I am compiling a wish list on Brownell's/Sinclair's and have put down for a cheap deflector, if for no other reason than to keep those to my right happy.

I have never heard of ITL shooting supplies before, and judging by the 01932 dialling code it is close enough to pay them a visit.
I guess when you realise that CCI .22LR is £7.00 a 100 then factory 9mm is reasonably priced,
