Thanks for all replies.
I belong to a home-office approved club and hold an SCC
But to shoot at Bisley, I'd need to join the NRA, have I got that right?

Not necessarily. If you join a club that is affiliated to the NRA and that club arranges club shoots at Bisley then you can shoot on those club shoots without having to join the NRA as an individual member (their are many clubs that do this on a regular basis).
If you want to book targets yourself as an individual and shoot at Bisley on your own or with an ad-hoc group of friends then you must [all] be individual members.
