These hubs will have youth workers, mental health support workers, and careers advisers on hand to support young people’s mental health and avoid them being drawn into crime.

We will not wait for those at risk to come forward. Local prevention partnerships will identify young people who could be drawn into violence and intervene. And to offer young people a pathway out of violence, we will place youth workers and mentors in A&E units and Pupil Referral Units, funded by full recovery of the cost of firearm licensing.

Every club in the country should email the above to their members .
In some constituencies it just might make a difference .

Put youth workers in A&E units and custody centres, and youth mentors in pupil referral units . The cost of this will be met by full recovery of the cost of firearm licemsing .

The cost of this program will be £20 million per year . And rising annually !

Considering there is significant drug use and/or violence at all of those, its rather easier to link those to youth crime than legal gun ownership!

Maybe they should pass the full cost of the police time to the criminals, assault, that will be £X, burglary that will be £Y (if the police managed to catch any). On a more series note, it's much easier for the government to pick on easy targets e.g., the cash cow that is motorists or lawful firearm ownership. I dread the thought of a Labour government, looking at their previous leaders: Blair should be charged with war crimes (taking us in to war under false pretenses), Brown nearly bankrupted the country and Corbyn in my opinion is a communist. I genuinely don't know why anyone who owns more than the clothes they are stood in would vote for them.

Full cost recovery and what will we get out of it; probably nothing.
I suspect that the consultation on moderators will quietly be pushed under the carpet.
Now if we finally had a system where the certificate holder was licensed and not each firearm, then maybe the pain of full cost might not be so bad?
Dromia has it right about the NRA; roll over and let us all get stuffed, again!

I don't see how the NRA can influence the now published Labour manifesto. We have the vote.

If costs of an FAC/SGC rise to a few hundred pounds, the shooters who just hold a certificate to keep their firearms will probably give up. Every club has 'sleepers' but without their numbers/fees many clubs/ranges who are financially 'on the edge' could close. Lots of new shooters take up the sport via this route and I see an inevitable decline - which is probably the intention.

It's your vote - use it.

You are probably quite right on all counts.
