I never entered any personal details on GT - even at day 1, just a user name and maybe a first name, that was it. After a password reset today for the new site, I can still see blank fields.

Whatever websites do to protect data, someone will find a way through, eventually. A friend is an expert in on-line security and becasue of teh nature of some of his work including clients and their customers/clients/patients, he has something like 4 or 5 factor authentication.

Just goes to show how poorly served the UK shooting community is provided for when people are crazy enough to have an account with this shyster. :bad:

I can remember trying to claim through the joint class action thingy (that went nowhere) they called me and asked about my claim and can I prove it affected my mental health/state of mind if i could then I had a legitimate claim.......I told em I don't think you will get many if any shooters admit to that as that's your fac gone or certainly taken for a bit...I mean it made me cross, certainly, but mental health? Not really...

I never heard another thing from them.

I just went to log into the account. "Your old password will not work on the new site" Except it did.
Fortunately, the only details I had up was a disposable email address and an old mobile number I don't use.

After the last hack in 2021, I changed all my details on there to fake ones. Glad I did now... The only thing they would have got now is an email address I use solely for the purpose of signing up to things with a high chance of spam. I agree, 3 times is beyond careless and shows they have not learned from their previous mistakes. They got off with a name change and a slap on the wrist last time. They should get no such light measures this time!

This time it was not being hacked - it was the "accidental" display of private sellers addresses and other details. Almost certainly a coding fault when the new site was built - but accidental? deliberate? not tested? and at the extreme (and unlikely) malicious code update.
