Just checked my wire wool its actually 000 grade very fine, any residue can be picked up with a magnet
I have also checked case lenghts tonight for consistancy they are within+/- .0015 good enough for me

Thou and a half is not bad at all. I try to avoid wire wool as I always end up getting it in my fingers like little splinters.

Thanks for clarifying that Pe4king - To be honest I'll try the scourer first (already have some), as I don't like the sound of little spliters of wire everywhere....
What I need to work out now though, along I'm sure with others who have read this thread - is where and how to mount the drill....

Mounting thats what got me then I thought next to the board I have my press fixed to, it creates a 50mm step so the first thing that came to mind was the drywall stud brackets (I have a surplus :shifty: ) I then made everything else from them also , foot pedal and bracket, but thats only temporary untill it breaks which could be ages the way its working out
