No, I am not saying that. Not unless that technology was developed for a US military contract. However the yank procurement tends to hinge around Barry compliance and so it's not something I'd expect.

Yes I am aware that Holosun is Chinese, I'm simply addressing a statement regarding ITAR obligations ending once it's shipped from the US, which simply isn't true.

I managed to source one from Oceania Defence, paying over the odds, but looking there that looks like its just going to be the price for it in the UK

If the goods are covered by ITAR and the export paperworks says destination country "Germany" or even "EU" , they cant be reexported to another country without US permission .

They aren't being exported again, once bought by someone in the host country that person is free to do whatever they want with them.

If the buyer brought them to the UK in his luggage , he would probably get away with it . Maybe.
If they were posted and stopped by German Post Authorities , he could be in trouble if they know what the item is .
The same could apply when it arrives in the UK .

This is the ITAR wording that is supposed to be on all commercial invoices and shipping documents for goods from USA .

"These commodities are authorised by the US Government for export only to Great Britian for use by XXXXX XXXX .
They may not be trasnferred , transshipped on a non-continuous voyage , or otherwise disposed of in any other country
.either in their original form or after being incorporated into other end-items without the prior written approval of the U.S. Department of State .
