Nothing on the HSE website.
Apparently all crime has been solved in the Cumbria area and police are casting around for something to occupy their time now.

Apparently, Kranks have been told they can only hold 30 tubs of powder in-store now and also have had a limit placed on the number of primers they hold. The police called in and weren't happy with what they saw so called in HS&E.

30 tubs. 15kg or thereabouts. So basically, as a major retailer they were holding more than they should have been without a magazine. 30 tubs is about what we can hold relatively.

If Kranks can only hold 30 tubs of powder in their shop that means they can only hold one tub of about half the nitro powders on their website. They have several types of black powder also. They will have a magazine somewhere as I understand they are the the importers of some powders. I suppose you will now have to phone ahead to ensure they get what powder you want into the shop before you get there.

I see Kranks do request advance notice if buying powder.
Please note: If you are planning on collecting any smokeless or black powder from us, you must call or email us to reserve your powder at least 48 hours in advance of collection. Failure to do this may result in the powder you are looking for being unavailable when you visit even if the item is listed as 'In stock'.

Peter.
