Winchester SX3 Cycling Problem

Have fun. Took mine for a play and tried to throw ten clays in the air - just like Flannagan in the movie! Well - I chucked the clays all over the deck and then unloaded the gun the fast way. Then I picked up the clays and put them back in the box!!

I have to confess to a bit of a 'fish wot got away' aspect to my story.

The most clays I managed to throw in the air successfully was three.

I couldn't get any more far enough away to bloody hit!

Reducing to two, I hit one in abouth three attempts!

Reducing to one, I hit almost 50%

Afyter about twenty minutes my right arm refused to waste any more if it's time and locked up.

The truth is out, now I can go to sleep tonight and not be awake with my concience nagging me.

Nope, I have tried three with my Beretta 303 and best I ever got was one, the other two always hit the deck before I got on them. Remember those orange plastic clay flinger things? We had one that took two clays, closest I got was nearly braining a mate with one of the clays and the only time I hit both clays they were still firmly attached to the flinger after said mate had let the whole lot go!

Hi all,

Promised to report back after trying again!

Gun cleaned so well it sqeaked, tried it with 70mm 28 7.5 shells - worked a treat, never missed a beat - tried it as fast as i could pull the trigger and it kept pace - so as far as I can tell the problem is either shell length or shell stop needs or needed using to free it up. While cleaning I manually tweaked the shell stop a lot in an attempt to bed it just in case it was a stiff one - anyway had 54 shells through it this morning and performed perfectly, very happy bunny!

Steve - had I seen your post before today would have tried that as an option to bed it sound a reasonable idea, thanks!
