Under throw by 0.5gr using any powder dispenser into the pan of your scales and then allow targetmaster to top it up.

If you are after accuracy then speed doesn't go hand in hand really. Good article in Target Shooter April 2011.

They are cheap and taped to your powder measure they settle the powder very consistently. I have a couple of primer fillers that use these similar units, a freind of mine who has one says he can't get his wife out of the reloading room she is constantly filling up his primer tubes for him. They come in a variety of colours with the pink evidently having the best action for stick powders.

Alternatively go to that well known auction site and look for vibrating motors for mobile phones, they are under GBP1.75 delivered and work well, also less chance of loosing them I guess...

I read about someone who glued one to the inside of his scales, with a 1.5v battery and small switch, the whole lot cost under a fiver and can be tuned (grind a bit off the weight) Apparently it dampens the scales action.

I forked out for a Chargemaster Combo as well......... an outstanding buy that I wonder how I ever got on without it!

When working up loads, I still use an RCBS beam scale, trickler and Lee dippers!

I use a RCBS powder measure. I drop the bulk of my charge in to my Hornady beam scale pan I then trickle the last few grains to make it up to my desired charge then dump it in the case. Used this method for years with out a problem.

It takes all day,no distractions, no radio, mobile switched off. Tea breaks are taken away from the bench, my wife, bless her fields all the calls.

Next day - carrying the shopping and saying I'm having the time of my life in the shops - small price to pay. :roll:

I use the same method as Alpha - My second hand powder measure gets it close, then I trickle the rest in manually - I use RCBS 10-10s which settle quickly, so once you get the rythem it doesn't take too long.

I do take my time, but have to confess that I often have the radio on, and like to sip a beer too.

We currently have a small Lyman 1000XP, a Harrell premium culver thrower, a large beam that measures to 0.015 grains and a Charge Master so something to cover all eventualities. I use......

Actually I don’t use any of them other than the Lyman to measure bullet weights and the Harrell to throw fine powders for the .303's, other than that I never throw powder, that is the Vikings area of expertise and she swears by the Charge Master. personally I like my beam scale but never use it.

They all have limitations.

I can think of better things to spend my money on I am in no rush re loading is some thing I enjoy I like hands on.
