Hi Blackstuff,
I have just brought the very model that you are thinking of getting. It only arrived a couple of days ago so I haven't had a chance to experiment with recipes but curiosity got the better off me and I had to have a play..... It works!
Put in 50 4x fired 308 cases (along with various old coins etc), warm water, a cup of white vinegar and a squirt of washing machine liquid and turned it on for 3 x 4 min cycles. The results were astonishing- not a hint of carbon on the cases and all nice and shiny on the inside and out. Finished them off with a clean water rinse and dried them in the airing cupboard. Apparently these machines work much better (+20-25%) if you leave the basket out.
Good luck.

Re: Ultrasonic Cleaners
As a footnote to my earlier ramblings, I have just cleaned my b/p revolver in the ultrasonic cleaner for the first time (hot water and b/p solvent only) on 2x4 minute cycles. I have never seen the thing looking so clean and no signs of degradation to any of the finishes at all. I had a look down the barrel and for the first time in its life I could see the machining marks in the grooves and the bore is as bright as a mirror. Highly recommended. :goodjob:
